Cheshire + Merseyside - Liverpool (16th October 2011)  
Teyha, Sharni and Georgia Showing their Medals and Trophies at the recent Cheshire and Merseyside Competition.

Teyha received a Silver Medal for Bars and a Gold Medal for Beam, with Overall Silver Placement in the 11yrs category.

Sharni received a Silver Medals for Floor and Vault and Bronze Medals for Bars and Beam, with Overall Silver Placement in the 10yrs category.

Georgia received a Gold Medal for Beam, with Overall Gold Placement in the 10yrs category.

Sharni and Georgia have now been selected to Represent the County at the Forthcoming Regional Finals.

Alpha Factor - Wiltshire (11th - 12th September 2010)  
We competed seven gymnasts in different categories at the Alpha Factor 2010 Competition.  This is this most we have competed at this competition, and is an important competition which serves as a run out for the North West Level competitions in two weeks. As you can see from the pictures below the Girls and the Club had a good weekend.

Great Britain Apparatus Finals - Guildford (4th July 2010)  
Charlie had a lot to prove at this years finals. After recovering from her thumb injury Charlie wanted to hit her target of 3 medals on 3 apparatus. Charlie was one of only a handful of gymnasts to qualify for all 4 finals. Charlie started her competition on floor, she showed her elegant style and captivated the audience. The stunning performance gained her 1st place overall. Next was vault, Charlie performed 2 strong vaults to achieve a surprising 2nd place. Bars, and again, showing her unique style and beautiful lines Charlie gained 2nd place. The beam was not meant to be. A stunning routine was performed but a fall came on her side salto, Charlie had to settle for 5th place. Charlie gained 3 podium places, which considering her injury time was an incredible achievement. Charlie is now waiting to see if she has made the selection for this year UK School Games in Newcastle.
GB Junior / Senior Championships - Guildford (3rd July 2010)  

This was Pagans first year at the British Championships. Pagan was very settled and performed her routines well. Her vaulting and floor routines showed exceptional power and very high leaps. Pagan has qualified to stay at the British and will now be looking at increasing her difficulty to gain a top 10 place next year. Her long term target is to achieve floor and vault finals next year

Charlotte who recently joined the club showed beauty and grace in her work  to achieve 11th overall. Charlotte was also ranked 3rd on beam and qualified for the beam apparatus finals. In the finals Charlotte unfortunately carried a fall to gain 6th place. Charlotte's target for next year is to regain her place within the Great Britain Performance Squad

The overall quality of the Sandbach girls was very high on the day. Many of our girls competed new tumbles, raising their starting scores which contributer to the team success.

GB Espoir Championships - Gloucester (5th June 2010)  
  Great day for Charlie. She only had 9 days training on full apparatus training due to an injured thumb.

Charlie competed with her normal style and execution. Her performances gained her 4 apparatus finals, where the top 8 on each apparatus will compete in July alongside the Junior and Senior Finalists.

National Team Tumble - Wakefield (11th April 2010)  
One of our largest entrant to date. We competed 29 gymnasts in the three categories; Springer, Junior and Senior.

The Gymnasts received Gold in the Junior Event, with Charlie Overall Gold. We also attained a Bronze in the Senior Team Event and Bronze in the Mixed Junior Team Event.

All the gymnasts had an enjoyable day competing at their training standards.

This was the first National Tumble League Event for Elliot Adams, Amy Nolan, Lucie Hursthouse, Charlotte Beaumont, Naomi Bostock, Eve Fenoglio, Alex Capper, Nadia Barr, Megan Jones, Philipa Wynn, Bethany Platt, Bethany Lawrie, Isla Warr and Ella Burnett.

GREAT BRITAIN v FRANCE v ROMANIA - (27th March 2010)  
Charlie competes at her first International.

Charlie travelled to Arques in France on Thursday 25th March to train in preparation for her first International representing Great Britain. Charlie competed well for GB, showing that she can deliver her routines on the International stage. Congratulations to Charlie

 

BSGA Senior Championships - Newcastle (27th March 2010)  

Pagan competed for the North West Senior team in Newcastle at the British Schools Gymnastics Finals. Pagan competed to her best with another clean competition. She was ranked 10th on the day, a very creditable result.

Charlie Wins the 2010 English Espoir Championships

Charlie had a storming competition beating her nearest rival by 1.7 marks. She competed complex new skills with composed and controlled performances.

 

NW BSGA / Level 4& 5 Qualifiers - (28th February 2010)  
We competed five gymnasts in this series of competition.

Ella, Isla and Danielle competed in the level 4+5 competitions, with Ella achieving a Silver overall in the Level 5 event. The girls had to compete their set routines on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and Conditioning Range.

Pagan and Charlie both competed well securing places in the Senior North West team which will compete in the British Schools' Final in Newcastle at the end of March

National Level 2 Compulsory In Age   (9th March 2008)  
Charlie passes the Level 2 Compulsory Grade in good style. Charlie attained 4th overall with a fall on bars. This result will help to secure a further placement in the Home Country Squad for 2009 as well as 2008.

NW Level 3 + 4 In and Out of Age   (2nd March 2008)  
Gymnasts: Sophia, Jessica, Alice and Sophie competed at Warrington in the regional grades competition.

 

Alice qualified out of age for the Level 2 competition later this year. If Alice is successful she will be able to compete in age next year. Jessica passed her first grade in age, with Sophia and Sophie gaining valuable experience. This is the first main four piece competition for the youngsters.

29 gymnasts competed at the final team tumble event which was held in Birmingham on the Sunday.

This was our highest entrant so far at this event, our gymnasts ages ranged from 8yrs to 16yrs.

This was also the debut competition for, Alice Dodds, Ellie Boulton and Nadine Tunstall.

North West Age Groups (September 2007)  
Charlie Fellows and Alice Mountford qualify to represent the North West region at the National Age Group Finals which will be held at Guildford in November this year. Both girls had a stunning competition with Charlie winning both the day and the overall event to be crowned North West Level 3 Champion for 10 years gymnasts.

Alice competed in her first four piece competition with Sandbach Gymnastics. Her efforts were rewarded with the position of travelling reserve for the North West Team. Should the team not need her, Alice will be able to compete as an individual in the national final.

CNGC Recreational Competition (10th June 2007)
Seven Sandbach Gymnasts represented the club at our first recreational competition held in Crewe on 10th June.

This was the first competition for Caitlin, Sarah, Emma, Capprice, Abigail, Nadine and Alice (not shown)

The girls competed well with Capprice achieving a Gold Medal and Emma a Silver Medal

 
NDP National Tumbling Finals (19th / 20th May 2007)
Five Sandbach gymnasts qualified for the NDP tumbling finals, which were held at the Fenton Manor Sports Centre on the 19th and 20th May.

The girls competed well for the North West Region with, Alice Mountford becoming British Champion at National Grade 1 for the Under 12s category. Silver Medals went to Georgia Pickles (National Grade 2, Under 12s) and Kirsty Morrey (National Grade 3, Under 15s). Hannah McBride competed well achieving 5th position in the Under 15s category. Dayle Steele who also qualified in the Over 15s category missed the competition due to holiday commitments.

 
National Tumbling League - Milton Keynes (6th May 2007)  
We competed 16 gymnasts in 3 categories, (Springer's, Juniors and Seniors) The gymnasts were supported by coaches, Amy and Lauren.

Another good representation at the tumble league, first one of 2007.

The Junior team achieved Silver Medal position, (9 teams).

The Senior team also achieved Silver Medal position, (7 teams).

Individual Medals to: Georgia Pickles, (silver medal); Siobhan Holden (bronze medal); Kirsty Morrey (gold medal); Hannah McBride (bronze medal); Dayle Steele (bronze medal).

This was also the debut competition for Mary Carbutt

We competed 19 gymnasts in 3 categories, (National Levels 1,2 and 3) The gymnasts were supported by coaches, Tracy, Amy, Rob and Simon. Adult support helpers include:

This competition qualifies gymnasts to represent the region at the National NDP Finals which are held at Fenton Sports Centre in Stoke.

Dayle qualified at NDP level 3 for 15+ girls. Hannah and Carrie qualified at NDP level 3 for under 15 girls. Georgia qualified at level 2 for under 12 girls and Alice qualified at NDP 1 for under 12 girls.

The finals are well worth watching as all the gymnasts have had to qualify in regional competitions.

National Team Tumble - West Bromwich (10th December 2006)
 
We competed 19 gymnasts in 3 categories, (Springer's, Juniors and Seniors) The gymnasts were supported by coaches, Tracy, Amy, and Rob.

This was our second National Team event which was held at West Bromwich. There were 87 gymnasts in the Springer competition. Team "B" (Hannah, Carrie, Georgia and Charlie), achieved a Silver Medal placement with Charlie achieving Silver overall. We also achieved a Bronze Medal placement in the Senior team event with team "A" (Kirsty, Dayle, Hollie and Samantha).

This was also the debut competition for Lauren Thorburn

 
 
NW Novice - Under 10s - Wigan (2nd December 2006)
 
This was Anina Pletscher's first 4 piece competition. We started the competition on floor where she showed her beautiful lines and artistic qualities. She also showed great capabilities on the assymetric bars and was ranked 6th overall. Anina carried a fall on the beam but the rst of the routine was performed beautifully. Overall Anina had a good day and was ranked 19th overall. Well done Anina on a good performance at your 1st competition.                              

 
 
Age Group Finals - Guildford (4/5th November 2006)
   
Hannah, Charlie, Carrie and Georgia all qualified in September to represent the North West Region at the National Age Group Finals. Hannah and Carrie competed in the level 2 competition on the Sunday, with Charlie in the level 4 and Georgia in the level 4 on the Saturday. It was a long weekend, however the results were worth it!! The girls competed very well after a nervy start to their competition on assymmetric bars. Next year our gymnasts vaulting scores will be greatly enhanced as we now have a vault and a long run at our new location, (this has been a big limitation to the level 2 girls).  

Charlie achieved 1st on Beam and 8th on Bars,

with an overall ranking of 8th for the 9yrs gymnasts on the day.

This was Charlie's first National Final

Georgia was ranked 4th in the North West team when they qualified in September, which improved to 2nd within the North West team on the day. 

Overall ranking of 35th for the 10yrs gymnasts for the day.

This was Georgia's first National Final

 

Carrie demonstrated good Vault, Beam and Floor exercises achieving her training best for these apparatus. 

Her overall ranking of 43rd was greatly affected by the loss of five marks for a short routine on assymmetric bars.

This was Carrie's first Voluntary National Final

 

Hannah achieved 4th on Beam and 17th on Floor,

with an overall ranking of 24th for the 11yrs gymnasts on the day.

National Team Tumble - King's Lynn (1st October 2006)

  

We competed 19 gymnasts in 3 categories, (Springer's, Juniors and Seniors) The gymnasts were supported by coaches, Tracy, Amy, Lauren and Rob.

It was a long and demanding day for all, but the results for our first National Team event were very pleasing.  We won the Springer team event with Team "B" (Hannah, Carrie, Georgia and Charlie), with Charlie achieving Bronze overall. We also got a Bronze in the Senior team event with team "A" (Kirsty, Dayle, Hollie and Addica), with Dayle achieving 4th place overall.

This was also the debut competition for Sam Jones, Melissa Ollier,  Lydia Smith, Annina Pletscher, Katy Cuttle, Anna Birrell, Abigail Lawton and Rhianna Stenson.

Charlie wins Level 4 Alpha Factor competition. Charlie had a clean competition showing her level of difficulty and maturity by winning the Level 4 competition.
 
Georgia had a good day at the Level 3 event, however, her final position didn't reflect the progress that she has made in the last 6 months. Her physical preparation will eventually be rewarded by good competition results.
 
In the Level 2 competition, Hannah and Carrie after a very nervy start on floor showed the progress they had made in their skill learning and stability. Beam rewarded them with their highest result a  = 4th. Both girls stuck their flip layouts and back saltos. Had Hannah stuck her free walkover she would have achieved her first medal placing.

Amy, Hannah and Carrie compete at the North West Qualification for the Level final. Clean routines for Amy and Carrie, with Hannah carrying one fall on bars. In general their routines were competed to a good standard.

 

 

Amy wins one GOLD, and two SILVER medals, and is awarded SILVER position for the North West Age Group (10 years girls).
